Office Volunteer

Urban Homeworks welcomes consistent volunteers to help with office tasks.


We need consistent volunteers to help in the office. The opportunities below are examples of what is needed. The listed skills are required, but hours can be flexible. Office hours are Mon-Fri 9:00am–5:00 pm.


Administrative & Database Management

Filing, database entry and updating, during office hours. Attention to detail and computer skills required, but training provided. Must be able to volunteer during UHW office hours. Suggested 2-6 hours/week.


Reporter

Gather stories and pictures from our different ministry areas and help prepare them for our communications. No camera required, but photography and writing/editing abilities preferred. Suggested 2-4 hours/week.


Event Coordination

Help us in numerous areas and with many tasks as we get ready for events during the year, including fundraisers and celebrations.


Open House/Community Events

Host an information gathering/table for open houses and events. Excellent communication skills required. After-business and weekend hours. Suggested 4–10 hours/week.


Community Outreach

Distribute flyers door-to-door to share information about home ownership possibilities. Excellent communication skills required. Walking required. Suggested 4–5 hours/week.
