A New Way to Table Host

Fundraise Perpetuate the Hope

From Table Hosts to Community Builders…

In the past, we’ve had “Table Hosts” and “Half Table Hosts” bring groups of 5 or 10 people to hear about Urban Homeworks and the important work we’re doing. We’re excited to share that with our new event space at the historic Capri theater and a new event format, our Table Hosts are now called Community Builders!

Community Builders are crucial in helping Urban Homeworks introduce our important mission to new people in our community. We need your help to bring in new supporters with the financial capacity to help us house more people, build more wealth in historically divested communities, and transform our city to be an equitable place for all people. This is only possible with YOUR help!

Think about the people in your community. We ask you to invite individuals who are:

  • New to the UHW mission
  • Inspired to use their time and resources to give back to their community
  • Looking for meaningful ways to instigate transformational change
  • Energized to learn about what it will take to create equitable housing solutions in our community

Your investment in becoming a Community Builder is a meaningful way to inspire your guests to give generously! We suggest a $500 donation for access for 5 individuals or $1,000 for 10 individuals. This is an impactful way to challenge your guests to match or exceed your donation with a meaningful gift to the work of housing equity.

If you are interested in supporting Urban Homeworks but are unable to make a $500 or $1,000 contribution, you can group fundraise for your table as well! Anyone who donates to your online fundraiser is invited to attend the event on September 8. To set up your online fundraiser, follow this link and click the orange “Start Fundraising” button. Check out the Community Builder packet below for more information on setting up your fundraiser and asking friends to contribute.
