Rent Stabilization: What is it?

February 21 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

WATCH THE EVENT HERE.

LISTEN TO THE EVENT AS A PODCAST HERE.

This January, the city-appointed Rent Stabilization Workgroup voted to put forward a framework to the Minneapolis City Council that prioritizes housing stability, specifically for low-income and Black and brown renters. Our Executive Director, AsaleSol Young, was a part of this workgroup and was among the majority that voted for Framework 5.

This February, we invite you to join us for a breakdown on what all the components of the framework mean, what they look like in theory and practice, and what needs to happen to get this framework to pass. The end of the event will feature a brief Q&A for any remaining questions attendees may have about the framework. This event will be moderated by UHW Equity & Engagement Director, Temi Ogunrinde, and feature AsaleSol Young, Dr. Brittany Lewis, and Dr. Ed Goetz as speakers.

This event will be held live over Zoom with a Q&A portion from the audience.
